Artist's Description
An American Coot near the shoreline thinking about going back on the water. These are often mistaken as ducks when they are on the water, but have a short bill and do not have webbed feet. This image shows the chicken-like features of the feet, and the duck type of body.
About Wild Fotos
Born in South Carolina and moved to Wisconsin, I use photography as a means to decompress -- I create the images for myself, to be able to remember a unique moment in time and to remember the beautiful things outside my normal office desk. Using photography to remind myself; there is more than technology. My goal is to capture the unique moments that brought me back to being grounded and stress free, and then share it with you.

Beautiful portrait photograph of the American Coot on a rock perch above the water. The fine feather detail of its dark plumage is very well maintained, and the water's surface makes for an effective background. F/L
